NEW AWARDS AND SUCCESSIONS OF THE DIRECTOR SIME MLADENOVSKI
Call to All Macedonians around the world to unite in defending the biblical Macedonia
"Macedonians all over the world need to understand that they need to respect each other, help each other love each other, we have one Macedonia that is biblical and we need to love it, respect it and fight for it on a cultural level. Enough of the backstage games, stabs in the back, vanity, hatred, we are guests in this world and we will not take anything with us, we can only harm each other." - Sime Mladenovski
MT - Sime - there are new achievements, new awards received lately, and i am excited to hear about. What would like to start the infervies with?
Sime - First of all, I will start with a thought of mine. In order to achieve the goal you have set, you need to put in a lot of effort, a lot of energy, overcome many barriers on the way, hard work is great and great patience for all that, and then the result comes, success, and maybe then something impossible will happen to you that you have been expecting for years. Maybe your dedication to the work you love will encourage you to achieve many results and successes that in the future can be a model for a successful life.
MT - Do you have support in your projects from your government? How are you coping?
Sime - Sometimes I wonder why we put in so much effort, why we struggle so much when we have no support from the state, and here comes a beautiful answer: the support from our loved ones, from our family, from my esteemed colleagues, from all my friends who helped with all our projects, from Desi who helped us a lot, from the Diensi hair salon, from friends in America, friends from all over the world, and most of all from God. In order to make any project or film, whether it is a feature or a documentary, you need finances, and a lot of them, but we have somehow managed so far, I hope it will be like that in the future, and the beauty of all of that is the excellent product that will remain forever and will be watched with attention and enjoyed, and that is the greatest pleasure a person could wish for.
M.T. - What problems and difficulties do you face in your work?
Sime - I always ask myself this question because almost all filming starts with difficulties and problems, but when you think about it more deeply, the old saying goes that if you manage to go through the difficult path, then you will easily go through everything blindfolded. The process of making a film is very complex and you have to be very careful during the filming itself to make sure that the shots fit together and that everything is in its place, but to achieve all that requires a lot of work, sometimes when necessary we have worked for 24 hours with the crew in the field. During the filming itself, we had many accidents and injuries, but all of that is forgotten when in the end we see that everything is done as it should be.
M.T - Where do you find yourself most?
Sime - I somehow found myself here, in these documentaries, I found my peace, the exhaust valve of my soul. It is a great breadth of topics not exhausted by everyday life, very touching topics, sad truths and happy moments, we have to face all of that and with the team we have to come up with and make a beautiful story that will be very interesting and widely watched.
MT – Do you still perform at film festivals and what awards have you received?
Sime – Despite all the difficulties, we decided to perform at film festivals around the world and decided, even though we are denied by the world, to prove to them that Macedonia is a biblical country and that only the sun is older than Macedonia.
Let's show them Macedonia through film, its natural beauties, our culture and art, our tradition, customs, everything valuable of Macedonian heritage. Here I will also mention my team, which we have been working together for many years since 1989 and everything we have done together, we have done, not to mention many awards around the world for our documentaries Sadness, Beautiful Land. We are currently working on the documentary White Dust, which we are presenting at the Buenos Aires Film Festival in Argentina, a very beautiful story composed of sadness, happiness and a beautiful ending.
MT – Tell us something about your show Faces and Deeds, who are your most frequent guests?
Sime - As for the show Faces and Deeds on TV Sonce, it has been around for 12 years in the same one-on-one format with very different cast and many guests who have done a lot for Macedonia and the world. We have had many actors, entertainers, politicians, ministers, mayors and many who are successful in their professions and bring great results for everything they do. I will mention some Esma Redzepova Garovci, Vlatko Stefanovski, Suzana Spasovska, NaumPetreski, Vanja Lazarova, Jane Dunimagloski, Dnk, Vlatko Lozanovski, Bube Jovanovski and many others. To have some of these guests, the show must be successful. That is why this year this show and I as a director and producer received the Mother Teresa Award and the Cvetin Peace Prize, which are especially dear to us and I will place them in a special place in my home. Gratitude to the team that works on this show and guys, this is both your award and an incentive to work very successfully and qualitatively in the future, and I am glad that there are still people who appreciate values and reward them for it.
MT – As always, at the end we want to hear your message to all readers and viewers of Faces and Deeds
Sime - And to end this interview of mine, thanks to the Macedonian Timeline team who is following the successful people and write and publish about them. Here I must also mention the international poetry event Let's Unite Macedonia, which has existed for 7 years and we have successfully implemented it all over the world, every year the number of participants is increasing.
